Students with specific profiles

Students with specific profiles (high-level athletesaccomplished artistsentrepreneursstudents with disabilities, serious illnesses or disorders) can benefit from a special status – known by its French acronym PEPS – which gives them access to special arrangements during their university studies.

This is a real commitment by the university to democratising access to university for categories of students who might otherwise have given up because of the difficulty of combining a specific profile with study.

The aim of PEPS status is to support and encourage particular categories of students in a transparent and fair way.

Expert committees examine applications and decide whether and under what conditions PEPS status should be granted. They set objective criteria for granting the status and ensure that case law is respected. On the basis of this well-founded opinion, faculties can then take a decision as to the possible arrangements, while guaranteeing the quality of the course.

Beneficiaries of the status will, for their part, have a series of obligations towards UCLouvain.
