The idea of a Louvain4Space originated from the fact that scientists working in the space sector at UCLouvain generally have a few space projects within many other projects. The space sector at UCLouvain is mostly transverse. It concerns several research institutes from the Science and Technology Sector (ELI, ICTM, IMCN, IMMC, and IRMP), from the Health Science Sector (IONS and IREC) and from the sector of Social Sciences and Humanities (ISP and SPOLE ). Louvain4Space was created in 2017 and counts about 100 members.

This exchange platform is created within the frame of activities within the incubation period of our Louvain4Space. We wish to share calls and best practices to respond to these calls, knowledge for synergetic research programs, network, etc. Pooling and sharing of information are crucial for UCLouvain's participation in space programs and related research.
