Summer School on Informatics Education Research (SCHIER 2025)

The second edition of the SCHIER summer school will take place from 8 September to 12 September 2025, supported by IBM Research Europe and hosted at UCLouvain in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.
The School will be organised as a residential in-person event, featuring 4 major themes each taking two half days.
Two themes, of a more general nature, will cover qualitative and quantitative methods in Informatics Education research, while the other two will focus more on the practicality of designing and implementing research in these areas.
SCHIER 2025 offers expert instruction from distinguished scholars in both academia and industry, specializing in Informatics and education research :
- Qualitative Methods with Inge Hutter, Erasmus University Rotterdam (the Netherlands)
- Pedagogical and Tools with Andreas Mühling, University of Kiel (Germany)
- Study Design & Case Studies with Jan Vahrenhold, University of Münster (Germany)
