The Centre for Demographic Research of the UCLouvain (Belgium – www.uclouvain.be/demo) recruits a Data Manager (50% position, 12 months).
Application deadline 20 January 2021
The Centre for Demographic Research (DEMO) at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) is a research unit within the Institute for the Analysis of Change in Contemporary and Historical Societies (IACCHOS). DEMO, funded in 1963, is a vibrant medium-size (~ 40 researchers) research group that gathers population researchers from all over the world. DEMO is conducting fundamental and applied research in demography. We offer an international working environment in a team-working atmosphere marked by low hierarchies and close collaborations.
DEMO’s access to extensive Belgian population data opens new perspectives in demographic analysis. National Register data (1981-2018) provide longitudinal information on demographic changes at the micro level. These data are supplemented by rich census data (1981, 1991, 2001 and 2011) on the individual’s household situation. Contextual information and survey data can be added.
