Qualitative Methods in a New Light

Summary: Are you using qualitative methods and are interested in pushing the boundaries of traditional methodological approaches? Or are you using quantitative methods but want to know if/how compatible a qualitative approach could be? Then, our January Capacity Building session is for you! In this upcoming seminar, UCLouvain post-doc Kenza Amara-Hammou and Maastricht University PhD student Maud Oostindie will have a conversation about their experiences with (critical or multi-disciplinary) qualitative research. They will pay special attention to the challenges of working in an inter-disciplinary and multi-modal team, the pressures of providing ‘hard’ data within the field, and the increasing array of available methods through interpretative and ethnographic strategies.
