Roundtable Workshop at the Biodiversity Law and Governance Day (BLGD 2024) during COP 16

On Saturday, 26 October 2024, Raphaël van Steenberghe, Jérôme De Hemptinne and Razy Aman Eddine presented their edited book project on the protection of biodiversity in armed conflict through an online webinar at the Biodiversity Law & Governance Day 2024 during COP 16 to the Convention on Biological Diversity. The project is a collaborative effort of a research group coordinated by UCLouvain, involving around 25 researchers, academics, and practitioners in the fields of international humanitarian law and international environmental law. The project aims to create a practice-oriented guide, outlining specific rules and guidelines for the protection of biodiversity before, during and after an armed conflict.
