We are very happy to announce that the FNRS has awarded our colleague Benoit Delhaye a permanent position as a Research Associate.

Benoit Delhaye’s research contributes to the fundamental understanding of the sense of touch. He seeks to elucidate how tactile receptors encode information about contacted objects, and how the brain uses touch signals to guide dexterous manipulation. Approaches involve the characterization of skin biomechanics, computational modeling of neural activity in touch neurons, and quantifying sensory perception and motor behavior. An essential component of his work is the application of these insights towards developing algorithms to electrically stimulate the nerve to restore touch sensations in bionic hands.

Welcome to Benoit !
