Part 1: Crafting Integrative Literature Reviews: The Science and Art

This hands-on session is inspired by my work on three review articles, including those on communities of practice and judgement published in Academy of Management Annals. Attendees are encouraged to bring a literature review project - ideally a standalone review paper, though it may also be a review component of a conceptual or empirical paper - that they wish to develop during the workshop. Participants are welcome to bring notes, ideas, or drafts to work from. We will go step by step through the stages of developing an integrative literature review. If you already have a project in mind, this session will help you make tangible progress while drawing on practical guidelines and examples.

Part 2: Navigating the Early Academic Career and Using Networking to Boost Your Employability

The second part of the workshop is a conversational session focused on navigating the academic job market and building a successful early career. We will explore strategies for career development and discuss the value of networking in this process. I will share insights from my own experience - both successes and missteps - and from my current role as Director of the PhD Programme at the University of Bath.
