During her seminar, Marie Lamensch will present her background and her research, but also her current projects and ongoing papers in the field of VAT, but also other more "policy" activities. She will also present how to combine academic and professional careers. This seminar will be an opportunity to discuss potential links with the research of other members of the Institute.
As a reminder, Marie joined the institute at 50% last year, increased to 70% this year. She teaches VAT and general taxation at the Louvain School of Management. She is a member of the European Commission's VAT Expert Group and Technical Editor of the International VAT Monitor. She is also a lawyer at the Brussels Bar.
