The Profit Paradox Lecture
core |

In the context of the new course "Using Economic Tools to Solve Global Challenges", Guilhem Cassan and Amma Panin are pleased to invite you to a special lecture by Professor Jan Eeckhout on his book, The Profit Paradox, which explores the rise of market power in the modern economy and its consequences for wages, inequality, and economic growth.
In The Profit Paradox, Professor Eeckhout examines how large firms' increasing dominance has led to soaring profits but stagnant wages, widening inequality, and lower economic dynamism. His analysis provides insights into the paradox that while corporate success should benefit the broader economy, excessive market power is eroding competition and worker prosperity.
Join us for what promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking discussion.
We look forward to seeing you there.
The lecture will take place on 31 March from 12:45 to 14:00 in SOCR 40.
