Special Issue on Gender, Culture and Economics
The Journal of Demographic Economics invites researchers to submit contributions for a special issue to be published in March 2027.

Topics
The primary objective of the Journal of Demographic Economics (JODE) is to promote much-needed research in the field of study that lies at the intersection of economics and population studies. We welcome submission with a strong methodological discipline that exploits the complementarities between theory and empirics, and between demography and economics.

Submission guidelines
To submit your paper, go to the Journal of Demographic Economics website and click on the “submit your article” button. In the first step of the submission process, select "Gender, Culture, and Economics" from the dropdown menu in the Special Issue section. Additionally, please indicate in your cover letter that your submission is for the special issue.
Papers will undergo a normal refereeing process, and the Editor will desk reject papers that do not meet the minimal criteria for inclusion. The quality of the paper and the extent to which a paper fits the focus of the special issue are the only criteria for evaluation.
