Protection of intellectual property
uclouvain |
UCLouvain aims to make economic use of its research results through the process of knowledge transfer. The university’s intellectual property regulations govern intellectual property and protection and the use of research results.
UCLouvain implements various means of protecting intellectual property: patents, secret know-how, copyrights, trademarks, commercial names, domain names, etc.
UCLouvain pays particular attention to the need to ensure the confidentiality of information exchanged with parties outside the university by signing non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) from the outset. In the same spirit, exchanges of equipment are systematically protected by the signing of material transfer agreements (MTAs).
