MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
uclouvain |
MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships aim to develop the creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers who want to diversify their individual skills through training and advanced international and intersectoral mobility.
There are two types of individual fellowships:
- European Postdoctoral Fellowships: 12 to 24-month individual fellowships for researchers coming to or moving within Europe (member state or associated country).
- Global Postdoctoral Fellowships: 24 to 36-month individual fellowships for researchers going to a third country, including a 12-month return phase in Europe (member state or associated country).
In mobility schemes, secondment may take place in another organisation in any country in the world (maximum one third of the total duration of the project).
By the proposal deadline, researchers must:
- either hold a PhD or be expecting to receive it after having successfully defended a PhD thesis;
- have a maximum of eight years of full-time equivalent research experience from the date of earning a PhD.
Researchers may be of any nationality.
Proposals involving the same recruiting organisation and individual researcher submitted to the previous call for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships proposals under Horizon Europe that received a score of less than 70% must not be resubmitted the following year.
UCLouvain Research Administration contact person
Sara Wilmet will guide you through the administrative follow-up of your proposal.
- She can give you more detailed information on the programme (including support documents from previous information sessions, testimonials of former fellows and expert evaluators).
- She can also help you find a supervisor abroad or at UCLouvain, or, for supervisors, an internationally mobile candidate.
She will be your first point of contact for any questions you may have from the time you start working on your proposal to the final report of your project (eligibility, assistance in finding a supervisor, proposal tips). The Research Administration (ADRE) also provides feedback on your proposal on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you are selected, ADRE will assist you with all administrative, legal and financial matters throughout the project.
Horizon Europe incentives can be requested to support you in the preparation of your MSCA proposals. Do not hesitate to contact ADRE's International and EU Funding Unit (RINT) to learn more about fellowship requirements. If you intend to submit an MSCA-PF proposal, please inform Sara Wilmet so that you can receive helpful information, including supporting documents from information sessions.
