Placet Centre was created in 1973 to be a place of residence for UCLouvain students from partner countries of the Belgian Cooperation. Each year, more than a hundred residents have the opportunity to stay at Centre Placet, around a participatory citizen project and surrounded by a permanent team. The CGEI (International Students Council ) is the representative body for international students at UCLouvain. The CGEI team organises welcome and integration activities, both at the beginning of the academic year and throughout the year. It also offers a helpdesk service and support for any questions international students may have. For more information, please visit the CGEI website.

 

A blocked account allows students from non-EU countries to prove that they have sufficient means of subsistence when applying for a visa or renewing their residence permit for studies or job search in Belgium. The Support Students Services offers a wide range of help services to help you pursue your studies in the best possible conditions: educational and psychological support, social assistance (second-hand shops, social grocery store, etc.), exceptional financial assistance, medical monitoring and health prevention, support for student activities, support for people with specific profiles (disability, disorder, illness, etc.), job search, etc. For more information, please visit the Students Support Service Website.

The Tourist Office – Louvain-la-Neuve Inforville is located right next to the ticket offices of the train station, in the Halles gallery. Its team will help you get around the city but also plan your tourist excursions and activities thanks to their maps, brochures and advice. For more information, visit the Inforville website.

Study in Belgium is the platform dedicated to international students willing to pursue their studies in French-speaking Belgium.
